The goal was simple: make the 450 show again. Qualifying landed just off a direct transfer — about two-tenths short — so it came down to the LCQ.
From a P37 gate, a strong start carried him to P2 in the LCQ and a gate pick into the motos. The motos were a grind: P37 / P37 after fatigue and a crash in moto two. Overall: 39.
The weekend started rough off the track too — a camper wheel-bearing fire on Thursday — then a fix, and the trip continued. That’s the privateer week: keep the wheels turning, keep the gate.
Next stop he called out: Red Bud. The work continues.
